Every Day

If you’re looking for a life-changing spiritual experience in Peru, this 1-Day Ayahuasca Retreat offers a powerful opportunity to reconnect with yourself, heal emotionally, and gain clarity—guided by experienced Andean shamans in a safe and sacred setting.

1-Day Ayahuasca Retreat Overview

This Ayahuasca Cusco 1 Day program blends Amazonian and Andean traditions. The main ceremony is led by a Shipibo-Konibo shaman from Pucallpa, while the Andean healing work is guided by an experienced Q’ero shaman. During the day you will take part in three key Andean treatments: the unification of the Andean elements with coca leaves, a private coca leaf reading, and the Kuti energetic alignment, followed by a closing Pachamama (Mother Earth) offering.

An English-speaking facilitator supports the process throughout the retreat and helps you understand the flow of the ceremonies. Effects typically begin 30–40 minutes after drinking and may last around 4–5 hours, with experiences that vary from emotional clarity and a sense of connection to physical purging or deep rest.

Full Day Schedule

This one-day Ayahuasca experience is designed to be safe, well-guided, and deeply meaningful. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be supported by the Ayaterra team and Andean shamans through preparation, ceremony, and integration—so you don’t just “go through it,” you understand it and leave with clarity.

09:00 – Welcome, meet & greet, and facility orientation

You’ll be warmly received by the Ayaterra staff and guided through the retreat space. We’ll show you the key areas (ceremonial room, rest areas, bathrooms, and common spaces) and explain how the day will flow. This is also the moment to go over basic guidelines—hydration, staying grounded, and keeping your energy calm before the ceremonies begin.

09:15 – Opening introduction with the Andean shamans

We gather for a short group meeting where you’ll meet the Andean shamans and hear a clear explanation of the ceremonies scheduled for the day. You’ll learn the purpose of each ritual, what to expect, and how these traditions are used for cleansing, alignment, and spiritual connection. It’s also a good time to ask questions and set a personal intention.

10:00 – Andean Elements Unification Ceremony (Coca leaf ritual)

This opening ceremony focuses on harmonizing the Andean elements within you—Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Spirit. The coca leaf is used as a sacred tool to “open the path,” clear heavy energy, and align your intention with the work ahead. Many guests describe this moment as the first deep shift into a more focused, receptive state.

10:30 – Private Coca Leaf Reading (one-on-one with a shaman)

Each participant receives a personal, private coca leaf reading. This is an intimate ritual where the shaman works directly with your energy and offers insight into what may be blocking you, what is calling for healing, and what you may need to understand or release. It’s a respectful and powerful moment of guidance before the main ceremony.

11:20 – Kuti Ceremony (energetic alignment)

The Kuti ceremony is a traditional energetic “realignment.” It helps restore balance and bring your energy back into order—especially if you’ve been feeling stress, emotional heaviness, or disconnection. This ritual supports a smoother Ayahuasca experience by grounding you and strengthening your inner stability.

12:30 – Regroup and preparation inside the Maloka (ceremonial room)

We reunite in the Maloka for final preparation. The team explains practical and safety guidance: how to stay calm if emotions rise, how to ask for support, how to move respectfully in the ceremonial space, and why silence is important for everyone’s process. This is also a moment to reconnect with your intention and enter the ceremony with a clear mindset.

13:00 – Ayahuasca Ceremony (Cusco 1-Day experience)

The main ceremony begins under the guidance of the Andean shamans. Throughout the process, traditional ceremonial chants and energetic guidance help support your journey. The staff remains present to assist when needed, ensuring a safe, respectful environment. This is the most transformative part of the day—an inner journey that may include deep emotional release, insights, and spiritual connection.

17:30 – Pachamama Offering Ceremony (Mother Earth)

After the Ayahuasca ceremony, we perform an offering to Pachamama (Mother Earth) as a sacred act of gratitude and closure. This ritual helps seal the process, bring harmony back to the heart, and honor the medicine and the guidance received.

18:30 – Integration circle and sharing (understanding your experience)

We gather as a group to integrate what you experienced. If you choose to share, you can speak about what you felt, saw, or learned. The shamans and team help explain common visions and sensations, and offer guidance on how to interpret the experience in a grounded way. This circle is essential—it helps you leave with clarity and practical direction, not confusion.

19:30 – Group photo and closing with staff and shamans

We close the day with a group photo alongside the Ayaterra team and shamans. It’s a light, warm moment to end the experience with gratitude and community—remembering that integration continues beyond the retreat day.
